FROM SHIFTING SEAS, A BRIGHT FUTURE ARISES

Since its inception in 1981, Institut Teknologi Petroliam PETRONAS (INSTEP) has provided education and technical training in oil and gas– and the path to a fruitful career – to thousands of students. Today INSTEP graduate like Hafizul, are carving out their own success stories as part of a highly skilled workforce delivering energy to the nation.

UNEARTHING HUMAN POTENTIAL

PETRONAS recognises that talent – like other precious resources – can be found in unlikely places. Some of the students whose successful careers springboarded from INSTEP come from disadvantaged families, or simply from backgrounds that might never have led them to be part of a highly skilled workforce.

The institute is just one of PETRONAS’ initiatives in bringing education opportunities to the community. It is a win-win situation that provides youths with training and career opportunities while ensuring the petroleum industry receives a constant influx of fresh energy.
